The Street Smart
Using words of wisedom to attract public attention, these playfully animating type posters aim to encourage Singaporeans to stop and read these quotes and find out more information about the fictional "Singapore Book Festival 2021" encouraging reading based on the four main languages learnt by Singaporeans. Reading is a lifelong skill and that helps individuals grow in unimaginable ways. Inspired by contemporary Swiss style where it is common to see symbols used as elements of Swiss design used in different ways. Inspired by posters by Erich Brechbühl using shapes and simple designs pioneered by Joseph Muller Brockman. I wanted to create a modern contemporary swiss style poster where I depict the power and emotions words can convey in motion.
